Calladia vows that once Astaroth is cured, she’ll kick his ass, but the more time she spends with the snarky yet utterly charming demon, the more she realizes she likes this new, improved Astaroth . . . and maybe she doesn’t want him to recover his memories, after all.
Na het lezen van A witch’s guide to fake dating a demon wilde ik natuurlijk door met de serie! Ik had zin in nog zo’n boek waar je eigenlijk niet heel erg bij hoeft na te denken, maar wat wel echt genieten is tijdens het lezen.
A demon’s guide to wooing a witch was zo’n boek en ik heb er intens van genoten. De moderne tijd, met een magische twist vol heksen en demonen en een lekkere dosis smut: het was smullen.
De hoofdpersonages in dit boek kenden we al van het eerste boek, waardoor het gemakkelijk was om je in te leven in de personages. Je hoefde ze niet perse te leren kennen en de spanningen die er al in het eerste boek heerste rondom meneer de demon, maakte het alleen maar meer sensatie tijdens het lezen. Geef toe, we houden allemaal van een badboy met een gouden hart.
Het enige wat ik lastig inkomen vond was dat de MC’s wel héél snel van enemies to lovers gingen. Vooral omdat de mannelijke hoofdrolspeler, Astaroth, de main badguy was in boek 1. Nu heeft hij in boek 2 last van geheugenverlies (cliché, I know, maar smullen), maar dat is natuurlijk niet echt een goed argument vanuit Calladia’s oogpunt. Desalniettemin heb ik ervan genoten. Je moet bij dit soort boeken ook niet teveel willen nadenken!
Ik vond de personages leuk, en zat voldoende plot in en de smut was precies goed. Genieten dit!
