Er waren een aantal boeken over hekserij die al een tijdje op mijn verlanglijstje stonden. Boeken geschreven door heksen op instagram en die ik ook zodoende heb leren kennen. Natural Magick is ook zo’n boek en nu heb ik hem eindelijk aangeschaft! De mooie vormgeving en de kennis die op instagram werd gedeeld was voor mij voldoende om dit boek te willen lezen.
Of je nu al een tijdje bezig bent met hekserij of nog in de bezemkast zit: Natural magick is een boek vol met nuttige informatie over de basis van hekserij. Een boek vol tips & tracks, informatie over de jaarfeesten, kruiden en planten en alles wat je maar nodig hebt voor natuurlijke magie.
Natural magick is een heel toegankelijk boek. Het gaat niet enorm de diepte in, maar biedt wel een hele fijne basis voor eigentijdse hekserij en is daarbij toepasbaar op verschillende vormen van hekserij. Of je nu een wiccan bent, een moderne heks, een groene heks of een traditionele heks: ik denk dat vrijwel iedereen er wel wat mee kan.
Daarnaast is het heel eigentijds geschreven en vormgegeven voor onze generatie: de jongere heksen die vooral online in contact zijn gekomen met hekserij. Het boek vervult dan ook de behoefte hierin.
Zelf vond ik het een erg nuttig boek met veel overzicht en handige voorbeelden. Wel miste ik op sommige vlakken meer verdieping, maar dat komt vooral omdat ik al basiskennis heb en langzaam juist op zoek ga naar verdieping.
Al met al ben ik erg blij dat ik dit boek heb gelezen. Ik kan de informatie in dit boek goed gebruiken om kennis te delen met mijn heksengroep en ik heb er zin in om deze kennis te gaan verbreden en verdiepen. Dit is echt een aanrader om de basis van hekserij op fijne manier tot je te nemen. En tja, het ziet er ook echt mooi uit.
