Engelse 2019 releases waar ik enorm naar uitkijk

Ik ben geen pre-orderpersoon. Ik doe het zelden, alleen als er een toffe actie aan vast zit, of omdat ik het boek gewoon meteen wil lezen. Want wat het vaak is, is dat ik er toch niet altijd meteen aan toe kom, waarom zou ik dan iets perse op de releasedate in huis willen hebben? Toch zijn er een aantal releases in 2019 waar ik enorm naar uitkijk. Kijk je mee?

Er komen natuurlijk nog heel veel nieuwe boeken bij, maar ik kijk vooral naar de boeken die nu al aangekondigd zijn. Ook zijn dit vooral Engelse boeken, omdat Nederlandse aankondigingen vaak niet zo ver vooruit gaan. Ook de Engelse gaan tot de zomer trouwens, maar na wat speurwerk…

Winter

Ik had niet verwacht dat Fallon’s verhaal verder zou gaan, maar toen ik het las was ik er natuurlijk meteen enorm blij mee. LOVE IT.

Ik heb het tweede deel nog niet gelezen, maar deel drie komt er al weer aan. YES. Ik vind het zo tof dat deze serie zo goed ontvangen wordt.

Ik ben geen enorme sciencefiction liefhebber, maar met dit gouden duo kan het haast niet verkeerd gaan, toch? Ik kijk er in ieder geval naar uit!

Dit boek klinkt zo ontzettend tof en ik ben dan ook heel erg blij dat het boek ook in het Nederlands zal verschijnen. Ik ga lekker wachten op de vertaling!

Tja, je kunt zeggen wat je wilt over Cassandra Clare, maar zo lang ik de boeken verslavend tof vind, zal ik ze lezen. Wel ben ik benieuwd of Clare ooit een andere wereld zal scheppen en of deze het net zo goed zou doen.

Als je meer over de Throne of Glass wereld wilt weten, maar ook gewoon meer verhaal wilt, dan scoor je in het najaar dit boek. Ik ga hem in ieder geval wel halen. Het is een companion, maar ook met allemaal nieuwe informatie heb ik gehoord.

Overige boeken in 2019

En natuurlijk staat de illustrated editie van The Goblet of Fire, die ook voor 2019 staat gepland, hoog op mijn lijstje! Evenals: The girl the sea gave back van Adrienne Young (van Sky in the deep) die natuurlijk op mijn wishlist staat en in september zal verschijnen. In september verschijnt ook deel vier van Three dark crowns van Kendare Blake waar ik nu erg benieuwd naar ben.

Tegen het einde van het jaar kunnen we ook genieten van het derde deel van Marissa Meyer’s Alter ego serie. Benieuwd naar! Al moet ik ook in dit geval het tweede deel nog lezen. Rond dezelfde tijd komt The Sky Weaver, het derde Iskari boek uit. Ik ben ook in dit geval ontzettend nieuwsgierig op welke manier Kristen Ciccarelli ons gaat verrassen.

Tot slot denk ik dat iedereen ook gespannen zit te wachten op Sarah J Maas eerste boek voor volwassenen: Crescent city. Ik ook, al vraag ik me ook af hoe ze nog meer adult kan gaan.. Nog meer seks? Dan wordt het toch een halve porno? Maar we zullen zien. Ik vind het wel jammer dat het weer over fae gaat, maar wellicht weet ze me intens te verrassen. Wanneer dit boek precies verschijnt, weet ik helaas nog niet.

Er staan dus weer een tal van boeken op de te verschijnen lijst die ik meteen zou willen kopen. Omdat ik er al lang op wacht, of omdat het boeken zijn van auteurs waar ik dol op ben. Er komen vervolgen aan waar ik op sta te springen, dus ik kan alleen maar zeggen dat 2019 vast wel weer een fantastisch leesjaar gaan worden!
